About the Position

We are seeking dedicated Project Engineers to bridge the gap between technical design and field delivery. In this role, you will be key to operationalising technical solutions, coordinating engineering workflows, and supporting contract management on active project sites and consulting briefs.

This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys combining technical rigor with project coordination, and wants to build a career in engineering delivery and contract management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Technical & Project Coordination: Coordinate technical workflows between design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure alignment with engineering specifications and project schedules.
• On Site Technical Oversight: Conduct technical reviews, quality control inspections, and monitor progress on site to ensure strict compliance with standards.
• Contract Administration Support: Assist in managing standard contracts (NEC, FIDIC, GCC, or JBCC), evaluating variation requests, tracking claims, and maintaining precise project documentation.
• Reporting & Risk Management: Prepare detailed technical reports, monitor project risks, track key performance metrics, and propose solution driven adjustments.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Interface: Coordinate work packages, technical submittals, and material approvals with suppliers, contractors, and sub-consultants.

Required Skills & Educational Background

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc, BEng) or BTech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Candidate registration (or eligibility for professional registration) with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Experience:
  • 3–6+ years of experience in project engineering, site supervision, or engineering project support.
• Key Skills & Expertise:
  • Solid understanding of South African engineering standards and standard conditions of contract (NEC, FIDIC, GCC, JBCC).
  • Proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and discipline specific engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Strong technical problem solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross functional team coordination abilities.
